Louis Vuitton Art, Fashion and Architecture

Happy New Year!!!  For my first post of the year, have a look at the Louis Vuitton Art, Fashion and Architecture book by way of our friends at Cool Hunting.  Coincidentally, I saw the book at a friend’s the other night for dinner and loved it.  I guess what I love is not the book in question which is definitely worth purchasing but more the fact that LV has had all of these collaborations over the years.  I have always been a proponent of the intermingling of  the luxury world and the arts and so as you can imagine this is totally up my alley.

The word collaboration has come up a lot recently in my work.  The idea that creatives can come together and make something truly spectacular is to me something very special.  It shows a lack of ego and an open mindedness that says that anything is possible, all we have to do is start the conversation and who knows where we can end up.

This is a great book, and not only because of the content but of the message it sends.  To get a copy head over to amazon.

Review: “Container Architecture: This Book Contains 6441 Containers”

Came across a great book the other day that I highly recommend getting.  As I’ve said I have a love for shipping container architecture.  The book: “Container Architecture: This Book Contains 6441 Containers” shows us the extent to which recycling shipping containers can create amazing architecture.  Some of my favorites: The Papertainer Museum, The Guzman Penthouse, Chalet du Chemin Brochu, Redondo Beach House and of course the Nomadic Museum :-)   For more on the book check out the publisher’s site: Links Books

To get your own copy go to Amazon or Barnes and Nobles.
