Here is an interesting review of the Guggenheim’s Frank Lloyd Wright exhibit by way of A Daily Dose of Architecture. My own review to come soon!

I officially love Lego! Why You ask? Lego and the Frank Lloyd Wright Foundation just released the
Frank Lloyd Wright Collection of Lego Architecture building sets! Coinciding with the opening of the FLW exhibit at the Guggenheim, the building sets will consist of 6 different houses including the Guggenheim Museum in NYC and Falling Water! I can’t wait to start building!!
The Lego Architecture site isn’t running yet but for more on the Guggenheim exhibit visit: Frank Lloyd Wright: From Within Outward

I’ve been wanting to post this for a while. Diller Scofidio + Renfro recently appeared on Charlie Rose and gave a great interview about their careers and Lincoln Center. Definitely worth seeing! Enjoy.
“good design is as little design as possible” – Dieter Rams
How does design really affect us? That is an important question that Gary Hustwit is trying to answer in his new documentary Objectified. Hustwit, who directed the acclaimed Helvetica, interviews some of the top curators and designers in the design world including Apple’s Jonathan Ives, Marc Newson, Alice Rawsthorn from the IHT, Paola Antonelli from the MoMA and Dieter Rams, the former design director for Braun. Have a look at the trailer and click on the link below for a review from the NYT.

Last weekend was Brooklyn Designs. Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to attend but I wanted to share some great coverage by Design Sponge. Take the time to look at the videos, very revealing! Click on the links below for their two part coverage:

for another perspective check out Design Observer‘s review:

Well if things weren’t bad enough for architecture these days, now it seems that one of Zaha Hadid’s latest projects, the Guangzhou Opera House, was on fire! No injuries were reported and no major damage either. Read more at the Architect’s Newspaper Blog.

It is that time of the year again and here is a great post by way of Men.Style.Com. My favorite is the .MGX and Renault Ondelios concept car (pictured above). Finally a car company brings back the DeLorean doors! I always loved Renault and wondered why they didn’t make it all the way to the US….viva the Twingo!!
Other notables are from the Moustache Collection (pictured below) and Fabrica for Secondome’s This and That collection (pictured last)
