Congratulations to Tony Behar

Culturalblahblah.com would like to congratulate our friend and one of our favorite creators, Anthony Behar, whose work not only as an amazing photographer (he recently got the cover of the NYT) but as a talented and knowledgable blogger has earned him a opportunity to write for Getty Image’s own in house blog.  Once you read his posting you will trully understand what it is to love what you do and have a passtion and talent for doing it.  Again, many congratulations!

Beautiful Mexican Bauhaus…ish…

Met a new friend tonight who told me about the Mexican Bauhaus.  So I came home tonight and typed in Mexican Bauhaus and this link came up.  It is called the The Suntro house by Jorge Hernandez de la Garza in the hills of Oaxtepec, Mexico.  So beautiful.  One can definitely see some Bauhaus influence in this!

NYT Magazine: Angle of Repose

For Architecture lovers like me it isn’t rare to spend your time imagining yourself living in a house like this for the rest of your life.  It plays to the inherent beauty of Architecture, the ability to surround yourself (literally) with what inspires you.  Have a look at the work of Seattle Architect Tom Kundig.
